I have 3/4" silestone counters and must drill underneath for the top of the dishwasher to mount to. Do I use masonry bits and graduate up each size till I reach the needed size?

Thanks,
Glenn

Glen,
You could, but we have diamond bits that are much faster. Oh yeas...do NOT use a hammer drill or a rotohammer. If you percussion drill that counter it may break.

What size do you need to go to?

Mark,

Thanks for responding and for the advice on the hammer drill or rotohammer. I plan on using a  1/4" or 5/16" X 1/2" screw with some sort of anchor (like the plastic anchors you would use in drywall). This is to keep the dishwasher that is mounted directly below the silestone from moving. I checked the web site you suggested and couldn't find a diamond bit that small but will keep looking. Again thanks for your suggestions!

we just drill with a masonary bit one size, you dont have to move up in sizes. i cant remember the exact size but ill find out for you. in home depot we buy the plastic yellow anchors with screws.
ill find out the correct size and let you know.
if your new to this just mark the bit with tape or a  marker that way you wont go all the way.
hope this helps.
