I left a bottle of Kaboom on my marble tile  counter top while I was cleaning the toilet. The bottom of the bottle had some of the solution on it, so now I have a bottle imprint on my marble tile. Do you have a way I could get that stain/etching off the tile? I'd like to be able to do this by hand rather than buy a buffing machine.

it depends on how bad the etching is. if it is minor (you cannot feel it) it is possible you can rub a compound in by hand with some water and teri cloth towel. if it is severe (can be felt or is very dull) then im afraid it it will have to be honed with diamond abrasives to remove the etch prior to re polishing. if you can post a picture or give a better description of the area perhaps we can steer you in the right direction.

I tried attaching a picture to this reply but it's too large. When I run my hand over the stain it just doesn't feel slick like the rest of the marble. What polishing compound would you recommend that I try, and if that doesn't work, do you have a recommendation for someone in my area (Seattle-Bellevue Washington) who could fix it?

Thanks for your help.

Mark can sell you some DiaGlow compound for marble, this works really  well when used in the manner i described. if that doesnt work then i can work on finding someone close to you. if you decide to try it yourself, i will give you more detailed instructions. if you want to have someone come over and do it, let us know and we can see whos available in that area.
