We have a project using Black Absolute Anticado. Is there a way to replicate the finish on the edges so we don't have to do a mitered lam?

Thanks!

To make sure I understand, you are working with a stone that has a textured finish - kind of like the texture of an old leather belt ("antiqued")? If that finish is what you are trying to mimic you can get it by using antiquing brushes on your wet polisher. If the stone gets lighter on your edge detail than on your top you may have to address that. Absolute Black is often a stained stone that has other issues, but we shouldn't address those unless they  show up.

Here is a link to the antiquing brushes. They are available with a velcro backer or with a snaillock backer:

Glad to be of service,

anticado is spanish or italian for antique, what Mark suggested is the best way to go. the antiquing brushes may not get the exact finish of the face, but it will be close enough that no on will be bale to tell, these will save your A.
