What rail saw system is the best buy?
Considering cost, accuracy, precison, longevity, and portability.

Of the two that I have experience with (The Alpha and the Barranca), I think the Barranca unit is a better unit for a few reasons;
2 rails which can be used together or independently
more horsepower
larger diameter with larger depth of cut
ability to do a 45 degree bevel cut

It is very accurate and can be transported easily since the two 6' rails may be taken apart where the Alpha designed theirs with a 4', 7' &  two 6' rails, but once you join the 6' rails you are supposed to leave them together. It is not easy to transport a 12' rail without something happening to it - bending and such.
