Hi -- We're about to purchase a new home.  The current owner put in granite counter tops in the kitchen last year, but didn't go for an undermount sink.  She's got a regular, self-rimming stainless steel sink.

My question:   if I can find a sink slightly larger than the current one, can I have the hole re-cut and polished?  Can I "retro-fit" an undermount sink?  I know I'll have to reposition the faucet holes somehow...

Thanks in advance!

You can but you should get an expert in on this one...and expect a mess when it is done since the counter is already installed.
