I am a new monument company owner and have several members of staff who sand blast monuments.

One member of staff on a grey granite stone put in the letter G instead of D  in modified roman  Sad

I have been told it can be rectified with some type of crystal 10x or Tennex !!! Does anyone know of anyway we can rectify this stone?

I look forward to hearing from somebody.

Thanks in advance

Crystal by Tenax is an acrylic glue that bonds like epoxy with the speed of polyester glues. It stays water clear (think crystal clear...hence the name) when it dries. You could fill the hole with it but it won't be the same color as the stone. If you mixed dust from the granite it would be a darker gray than the natural stone. If you put a chunk in it that might work...
Any thoughts on this from some of you pros?

Glad to be of service,
Mark

Many thanks for the information and advice.

Do you know where I would beable to purchase the Tenax ?

Do you know whether it can be reblasted and is the epoxy strong enough to last for many years ?

Thanks again.

Take the knife grade crystal and mix it with the rock and the rock dust and set it in place. Allow 45 minutes for it to cure and right before it hardens sprinkle some granite dust on the surface. If you do it that way it will be almost imperceptible.

Yes you can sandblast over it and yes it is permanent. It's even UV stable. This is what the monument people in Elberton Georgia do in your situation.

Here is a link for it:

Thanks Mark D.

Well appreciated, have organized the knife grade crystal from Bicknell Supplies.  We will do exactly as you say.

Thanks again for your help.
