What are the steps to "draw out" oil from a granite slabs? Anything topical wouldn't work since I feel it needs to somehow be wicked from the pores. I'm not look for it to look good as new but if it's possible, great.

You can clean off your oil deposits and sealers with an alkaline solution. Caustic soda works great for this (or Drano, but it is much more expensive) and you can get it very inexpensively from a pool supply store. Keep the stone moist with this allowing it to penetrate the stone. You might try covering it with paper towels after the application to keep the solution on the stone. This solution will dissolve waxes, oils, even sealers!

I will talk to our sealer experts to see what this will do to the finish if anything and will get back to you on it tomorrow.

The above post is what tenax recommended. The caustic should not alter the stone. You can also get a product called "Poultice". It is made by Alpha Professional Tools.
