I will be cutting 12" X 12" granite tiles in three pieces. I have a good wet tile cutting machine.
I'm going to use them for a backsplace in the bathroom.
How do I finish and polish the newly cut edges to match the original finish of the tile?
What tools are needed and how is the job done?

Thanks,

JFerrullo

You need to polish then if the cuts are fairly smooth.

Try our dry resin bond diamond polishing pad set. You can find it at www.defusco.com under diamond products>polishing pads and backers. You will also need a rigid backing pad and a variable speed grinder as these pads work up to 4,500 RPM.

You might want to get our DVD "Fabricating Stone for the Do-It-Yourselfer". It discusses how to do an edge design and how to polish it properly. If you have any questons call our office Monday - Friday at 800-289-6834.
