Can you recommend an epoxy for 2cm granite or zodiaq that will be in a regular 300 degree farenheit environment? preferably tintable? We are replacing warming tray surrounds on a grocery store heated deli buffet that is currently corian and has warped and split at the seams where the dupont seam filler has been. The substrate is 3/4" ply and the surface remains warm most of the time. Typical A+B epoxy would probably give under the constant heat. Also, there will be times in the evenings and during cleanup that the warming trays would be off so the stone would return to room temperature, then be warmed up again over and over and over....

Any thoughts or suggestions???

300 degrees is cooking temperature, not warming temperature. Find out what the temperature extremes will be so we can do you right!

Glad to be of service,

Well, constant temp will be around 150-175, however not only is there the heat from the warming trays there are also heat lamps above. Occasionally they will crank up the heat for awhile to around 300 for cooking, but the constant will not be that high. 300 is more like the ceiling temp. These things are on for very extended periods of time, and we've replaced the corian once and are now moving to stone. Ideally we'd build out of slabs and make cutouts, but the cost factor at this point has led us to stiles and rails with joints.

I would use the epoxy in this situation. If it were the inside of a kiln then I would not, but in this case it would be safe. If you want a more professional opinion then call me at 800-289-6834 and we will do a conference call with the manufacturer.
