hi,
     i want to mount a granite countertop to a cinderblock counter in an outdoor application in front of my wood-fired brick oven.  i live in canada and a bit of a newbie.  what would be a good way to attach it?

just to add, it is 3 cm thick and will have 7 inch and 5 inch overhangs. is that too much?

You can use either silicone or a latex modified thinset for stone. If you use the thinset do a scratchcoat so it will bond better.
