I have a newly installed granite countertop.  There are small portions (size of a quarter) where the stone was filled with epoxy to fix minor imperfections.  These spots are dull.  Is there some means to shine them to the luster of the rest of the granite surface?

Mark... since this is newly installed, polished and sealed granite countertop and what I don't like, is the small spots where either the fabricator or importer filled these imperfect spots in a "bordeau" granite,  I want to know how to bring up the lustre of the CLEAR EPOXY, used as filler, to match that of the shinny granite?

Diaglo polishing pad and a felt wheel will do the trick for you on this! Here is the Diaglo (you need to pick the one suited for you):

and here is the felt pad & backer you use:

Screw the backer pad onto a variable speed grinder at a lower RPM, slap the felt wheel onto it. Sprinkle the Diaglo onto the granite in the area where you want to increase the shine and mist over with a little water. When you start buffing this mixture with a buffing pad it will form a paste. As it dries out mist on a little more water. Repeat as necessary until your gloss is uniform.

The diamond powder in Diaglo will bring out a brilliant shine to match the rest of your countertop.
