i am looking to laminate two pieces of 2cm granite 47.5" x 15" together to make a bench for my shower. i was wondering which apoxy would be called for in this situation?

I have seen it done using knife or flowing.  I personally use a crystal clear rapid set flowing whenever I laminate granite.

2mm or 2cm? If it is 2mm forget it. To laminate 2 pieces of 2cm granite I like flowing epoxies because when you clamp it together it oozes out consistently and you can razor blade off the excess without having any air pockets develop on the visible edge of the lam which would require fixing later. Try this one. It dries water clear with no hue, sets up in a couple of hours and is our customers #1 choice for doing laminations. It is Stoneweld flowing epoxy:

thanks mark. I purchased the epoxy. now for clamping the pieces together will spring clamps all along the edges be enough pressure for a good tight bond? Huh

Personally I like C Clamps. Tighten until firm but don't overtighten or you run the risk of cracking the stone. You can put cardboard between the clamp and the stone if it is a soft material like marble to prevent scratching.
