This looks like a normal finish on some granites. It is a series of microfissures which could have been caused by a variety of reasons (is this stone Giallo Veniziano?).
Pectro will minimize the microfissures and make them less noticeable. Just wipe it on the stone and allow it to dry to a haze, then buff it off with fine steel wool. You can find the Pectro here:

You can also use TeWax over the Pectro. This will fill the voids to make the fissures disappear. You can find that product here:
