Installation Benchmarks

Trying to figure out some benchmarks that I can use to measure business with. Can anyone share (or email me privately) what they feel they should be averaging for a gross profit per install in today's economy? Just trying to understand what it is to stay competitive out there today. Also, would love to know what people think of direct mail /incerts vs. white page listings and other ways to find new customers. Thanks in advance.
