I need to do a rectangular cut for zero radius undermount sink.
I plan to drill the corners with 1/8 inch diameter bit and then cut straight lines with 5" circular wet saw.
I am afraid that due to small diameter of the saw the bottom of the cut will not be through when the blade will arrive at the corner on the top plain of the granite slab.
Is it so? If yes, please tell me what to do in this case.

Thank you,
Alexei

Now I'm thinking to buy Skil 7" wood saw for both granite and wood instead of dedicated 5" wet saw.
The cut would be more square with bigger blade and also save some money buying one saw instead of two separate for wood and stone.

Would Skil 7" 14 amp sidewinder fit to cut the granite or I'll need wormdrive?
I'd appreciate any answer or advice.

Both will work. The wormdrive has more power and will last longer and it costs more.
Make sure you are using a high quality blade designed for cutting granite. It will cut freer and with less chipping and a side effect is that it will put less drag on the saw motor.
We recommend these:

Glad to be of service,
