Granite discoloration

My  husband and I purchased Typhoon Bordeau granite for our kitchen countertop.  After the instahlation we noticed a bright green spot about the size of a 50 cent piece on one of the corners of our countertop.  

We notified the fabricator and they sent someone to check this out.  He buffed the corner and afterward said the spot was coming from within the stone.  

Can you tell me if this is possible or if there may have been a processing error made on their part?  As far as I know there is not a warrenty on the stone.  We were referred through a designer that works with a local home seller and my husband chose this granite from large slabs that were for sale.  

Can you tell us your impression of this discoloration and if there is anything else we can do?

Granite Poultice is quick and easy to use; restoring the original color and clarity to granite countertops and islands usually takes 24 hours to accomplish, depending upon the age, depth, and severity of the granite’s discoloration and staining.

It may be from the stone or it may be something caused by a chemical put on the stone. Ask your installer if he used CA in that particular area. It is a topically applied "super glue" meant to fill small holes and fissures. Cyano Acrylate has been known to cause green "blooms" on light stones. All stains can be removed we just have to figuer out what the cause is.
