i have a client who rubbed oil all over her granite countertops.  her neighbor told her to do it, and she did.  we have used the commercial poltices, and after 10 trips, we were able to reduce the staining by 50% in one 12" area of the edgework.  does anyone have any ideas for an agressive poltice?

Gary,
What poultice are you using now?
What oil was used?
Is the stain all over the stone or just on the edge detail?

haha thats pretty funny.

try diatomacious earth with laquer thinner, cover it up with plastic and seal it off, no vent holes.

then go punch the neighbor in the face.
