Question: i bought a 28"x71" piece of granite remnant for a bathroom vanity project. after getting home with the granite i noticed that there is a crack/flaw in the stone that runs diagonally from one corner towards the center of the slab. can this be str
rod the slab - 2 (66.7%)
take it back - 1 (33.3%)

It can be fixed but if I had the choice of fixing it or replacing it I would replace it. Why start with a piece that is broken when you don't have to?

Did you buy it from there bone yard and did you inspect it before you paid for it???  I know that when I sell bone yard pieces they are as is unless you want us to fab them.

Better return it and ask for replacement.
Granite is often used to decorate homes because of its durability and beauty.
It is not often scratched or chipped, and is scratch resistant.
However, a cracked that is made through the slab can be fixed, but why fixed it if you can replace it?
To start a project with granite, it should be new and free of any unwanted cracks or scratches.

go to the store which you bought it,and negotiate with them to replace a new one to you.
