I'm sorry if I have posted this in a wrong forum but i have figured out that having a computer case made out of granite would be quite unique and fun to have. Now I do know that the end result could weigh over 200 pounds, and I am perfectly fine with that.  But I am having problems finding someone who is even willing to help me with an estimate. I have called several granite companies inquiring about his and all I get in return when I explain what I'm looking for, s a "we Only do counter tops sorry." Is there a company out there that is able to help me with this? or am I going to have to learn how to work granite on my own?

Any and all questions/comments/answers/ or declarations of insanity are greatly appreciated

Where are you located? Maybe I can recommend someone.
Do you have or can you make a drawing of what you want it to look like?
It isn't rocket science...

I would suggest a product like Corian for a computer case.  We can do absolutely anything with corian, but a granite computer case in my opinion would be to heavy, and to complicated to work with.  Don't get me wrong, it's possible to make a granite computer case, I just don't know how practical and time consuming it would be.  But working with a solid surface product like corian would be easier, lighter, cheaper, and more practical.  Especially since 1/4" thick material is available though most solid surface distributors.  Not to mention, a lot of the new solid surface companies are making products that look more and more like natural stone, especially marble colors.  Corian Rain Cloud looks very much like white marble.  Anyway, just something to think about.

In this economy with so many out of work people, you really shouldn't have a problem providing you're willing to pay. Anything can be done for a price!
